Jean-Éric Vergne, DS E-Tense Ambassador, Makes Guest Appearance At The Cannes Film Festival•Winner of the recent Monaco E-Prix with DS E-TENSE FE19, titleholder of the FIA ABB Formula E Championship and still leader four races before the end of the current season, Jean-Éric Vergne will make his guest appearance at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday 23 May.

•The DS TECHEETAH driver will be present in Cannes for the premiere of the film 'AND WE GO GREEN.', directed by Fisher Stevens, Oscar winner for best documentary film, and Malcolm Venville.

•This documentary, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, follows the 2017/2018 season of the FIA ABB Formula E Championship, which ended in New York with Jean-Éric Vergne's victory.

Launched in 2014, the FIA Formula E Championship was opened to carmakers in 2015. Only a few months after its creation, DS Automobiles gave birth to DS Performance to develop its very first 100% electric single-seater racecar. Since then, DS has been the only manufacturer to have won at least one E-Prix each season.

The only French manufacturer involved, DS is currently at the top of the Teams ranking with DS TECHEETAH and in the first two places of the Drivers ranking with Jean-Éric Vergne and André Lotterer. The brand is thus demonstrating the French excellence of its E-TENSE technology in the most competitive category of motor sports.

'And we go green' is a cinematic documentary shot in the intimacy of the 2017/2018 season of the Formula E Championship. Unpublished images and interviews bring the spectator into the heart of the race and a more global reflection that make the discipline a success. Beyond a fiercely contested competition, Formula E is proving to be an incredible experimental ground for technology and a formidable tool to change the perception of electric car.

'When we created DS Automobiles, we had the ambition to be pioneers. My decision to commit to Formula E is part of our global strategy. Technically, it is an exceptional laboratory to push the boundaries of electrification, which is already available on all our models. And this investment in Formula E goes even further, because this discipline is proving to be at the forefront in all areas. This documentary shows the extent of the thinking that goes far beyond motor sport and it is also for this reason that we are fully committed to Formula E!'

Yves Bonnefont, CEO of DS Automobiles

This documentary is being screened at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, 23 May at 6:45pm.
